DNTA1343 : Additional Duties of the Dental Assistant I

Dental terminology and infection control practices will be presented with a focus on an introduction to dentistry, dental assisting and dental team roles. Students will gain knowledge and skills to perform intraoral and extraoral radiography. Students will demonstrate ability to perform coronal polishing and fluoride application. Students will acquire knowledge of nitrous oxide safety and administration to perform as expanded duties. Additionally, CPR/BLS training will be provided.
